Cessna, Patricia Lee, White-Broomfield, 82, passed from this life into the presence of her precious Savior and Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2008, with joy unspeakable. Pattie was born into this life in Wichita, to Clayton and Ruth White on December 14, 1925. She was a current member of Messiah Baptist Church (renamed New Spring Church) and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church and First Bible Baptist Church, respectively. Mrs. Cessna taught Bible classes for many years and considered her students special treasures and blessings. Having been a member of Christian Woman's Club since 1976, she deemed it a privilege to provide piano music through most of those years. She was a past member of 20th Century Club which she enjoyed very much. Pattie is preceded in death by her parents, her dear son, David Broomfield, and Noel M. Cessna, her beloved husband. Survivors include: daughter, Kay Louse Smith and son-in-law, Don Smith; grandson Michael Vecchio of Idaho Falls, Idaho and three great-grandchildren Morgan, Jade and Emily Vecchio; daughter, Mary Lou Pitts of Lawrence, Kansas, grandson, Lucus Pitts and granddaughter, Ashleigh Pitts; brother, Bruce White and sister-in-law Susan, of Tucson, Arizona; niece, Sandra Holmes and husband, John, of Scottsdale, Arizona; nephew, Steven White and wife, Kristie and their son Kaleb of Tucson, Arizona. A DaughterBonnie Cramer and her husband, Dakin Cramer, who have been a comfort and joy, as well as other members of that special extended family, are remembered with great love and affection. Pattie wanted to remember her many, loving friends of many years. Pattie has experienced cancer since 1997 and is thankful to God, and her wonderful doctors, for her extension of earthly life, to be in His service. The family are sincerely grateful to the staff of Good Shepherd Hospice and Andover Court Assisted Living for their Godly love and professional care to Pattie. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, November 3, 2008, at Downing and Lahey East, 6555 East Central. Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at New Spring Church. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Goddard, Kansas.
