Don was retired from Illinois Central Railroad after thirty five years of service.
He was affiliated with the First Christian Church, Clinton.
His hobbies included H.O. Trains, talking on his CB, which he loved and known as "Bubbles". He enjoyed building a GP30 replica with his son for the ICRR, playing games and enjoyed his cat "Tinker".
