Joanna Thayer Sprague was the wife of Samuel Sprague, Boston Tea Party participant and soldier in the Revolutionary War. She is the mother of Charles Sprague, the "Banker Poet of Boston". She is buried in the Sprague Tomb, (#5) in the Central Burying Ground on the Boston Common.
