Daughter of Frederick Miller Grimes and Elmira Susan (Farley) Grimes. Married Daniel Jones on July 14, 1859 against her parents wishes. Mary Ann and Daniel Jones were founding members of the Baptist Church in Moody.

Natural born citizen of the Republic of Texas and a Confederate Widow.
