She was born in Monroe Co., on March 22, 1925, to the late Odis Poland and Effie Crowe Poland. She was a member of the Beech Grove # 2 Baptist Church since 1940, a homemaker, and the widow of William Robert Guffey.
She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law: Martha & Donald Blythe of Tompkinsville, KY; Barbara & Joe Lee of Fountain Run, KY; 9 Grandchildren: Kyle Lee, Kevin Lee, Edwin Lee, Shawn Guffey, Shannon Guffey, Chris Blythe, Jeff Blythe, Dana Stafford & Teresa Holman; 16 Great-grandchildren: Dylan Stafford, Xander Blythe, Logan Blythe, Skyler Lee, Aaron Lee, Michael Lee, Justin Lee, Jasmine Clark, Dalana Clark, Marissa Holland, Chelsea Holland, Hannah Guffey, & Leigh Guffey, Autumn Guffey, Ashlyn Guffey & Tiffany Lee; a sister-in-law: Jeanette Poland of Tompkinsville
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Guffey, a grandson, Michael Blythe, two brothers, James T. Poland, & Cecil Truman Poland, and a sister, Irene Poland.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
