MRS. E.E. FREEMAN
The community was saddened Friday evening to learn of the death of Mrs. E.E. Freeman, which occurred at her home about 10 p.m. Mrs. Freeman had been in poor health for some time and suffered a paralytic stroke before her death from which she didn't rally. She was a lady of beautiful character, a devoted mother and a valued friend and will be greatly missed in the home.
Hattie Pierce Brody was born in Vinton, Ia., March 20, 1865 & died at her home in Arcadia, April 27, aged 63 years, 1 month & 8 days. On Dec. 25, 1887 she was married to Eugene Freeman at Arcadia and to this union six daughters were born. She leaves to mourn, her husband, & four daughters; Mrs. Guy Thompson, Aurora; Mrs. J.E. Weinman, Lincoln; & Miss Leona Freeman of Arcadia, also three sisters, three brothers, & nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church Sun. afternoon in charge of Rev. Hendrickson and the remains were laid to rest in the Arcadia Cemetery.
