Melrose, Fl - Lillie Leigh Acree, 87 of Melrose went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2008 at E.T. York Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. She was born on August 17, 1921 in Jax, FL and lived in Gainesville before moving to Melrose. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar "Tootie" Acree of 56 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" (Russell) Williams of Gainesville and her son Robert "Bob" Acree of Clayton, AL, grandsons, Jason (Naomi) Williams of Fayetteville, NC and Jimmy (Alicia) Harvey of Palatka, Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose with Pastor Rick Ergle officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. A private burial will take place at a later time. Arrangements are under the care of Moring Funeral Home, Melrose.
