Ellen was the first wife of James Gibson ("Gib") ALEXANDER, of Northfield, Summit Co., Ohio, whom she married Apr 13,1876, in Cochocton, Cochocton Co., Ohio. They had one child, Jennie A. Alexander, who was born (probably) in Northfield, Summit Co.,June 1877, and died Nov 20, 1877, at the age of ca 5 months.. Ellen died March 12, 1878 at the age of 28 years &8 months. Ellen was buried in Northfield Cemetery. (Old Part, Section 2, Tier 5, Lot 4)
"Gib" remarried, in 1881, to Nanny E. Sweeney in Wooster. Ohio; they lived in Lansing & Grand Rapids, Kent Co, Michigan; had 5 children: Frances Esther, Mary Ethyl, Mabel Brown, Martha Maude and James Gibson Lloyd.(usually called Lloyd or "JGL")
[These were my mother's [Ethel I. (Alexander)'s cousins and used to come visit summers from Michigan, on her folks' farm, Alexander Rd., Bedford Twp.
Nanny died Grand Rapids, Mich., Feb 27, 1922.
"Gib" died (prob. Michigan) May 30, 1929, in an auto accident when the car went off the road and hit a tree.
"Gib" remarried, in 1881, to Nanny E. Sweeney in Wooster. Ohio; they lived in Lansing & Grand Rapids, Kent Co, Michigan; had 5 children: Frances Esther, Mary Ethyl, Mabel Brown, Martha Maude and James Gibson Lloyd.(usually called Lloyd or "JGL")
