She was born June 26, 1952, at Danville, Illinois, to Milford C. and Iva M. White Jordan, formerly of R.R. 2, Williamsport. She was married November 23, 1974, at Danville to William A. Alpers of Danville. He survives.
She was a 1970 graduate of Seeger Memorial High School at West Lebanon. She also was a graduate of the Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She was employed at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, for 19 years, retiring in 1990, due to her health.
She was a member of the Danville First Assembly of God Church. Her church family was an integral part of her life. She also enjoyed sewing and baking, especially her homemade bread.
Surviving, besides the husband, are: her mother, Danville, Illinois; a 4 ½ year old son, Darrin William, at home, Darrin was their “special gift” from God, given to them on December 4, 1987; three dear brothers-in-law, David (Sharon), John (Linda), and Chris (Teena) Alpers, all of Danville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the First Assembly of God Church, 428 N Walnut Street, Danville, with Pastor Dennis Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Sunset Funeral Home is in charge arrangements.
