Mr. Winfred Westbrook, age 71, of Pennington, passed away January 15, 1986 in the Houston County Hospital. Mr. Westbrook was born May 6, 1914 in Houston County. He lived in Houston for 35 years before returning to Houston County in 1976. He was a member of the Piney Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Westbrook of Pennington; four sons, Richard Westbrook of Houston, Charles Westbrook of Houston, Ray Westbrook of Houston and Sammy Westbrook of Houston; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, F. W. Westbrook of Houston, V.L. Westbrook of Houston and B.E. Westbrook of Pennington; two sisters, Oma Dell Gibson of Pennington and Ruby Walker of Houston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Winfred Westbrook were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Reb. Terry Gibson officiating. Interment followed in the Hill Cemetery.
