LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Donald Zermuehlen died Monday, May 12, 2003, in a Los Angeles hospital following surgery for a serious head injury. Don was born in Two Rivers, Wis., in 1928, as the second son of Martin and Harriet Zermuehlen, who have both preceded him in death. He graduated from the Two Rivers High School and continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin. He received a M.A. in library science and worked as a librarian in the Madison Public Library system for more than 30 years before he retired 10 years ago. Don is survived by his three sons. He is also survived by his older brother, Ralph (Esther) of Kansas City. Don's ashes will be buried in the Two Rivers family plot at a later date.
