He was born in Sheboygan, son of the late Frank and Josephine (Versey) Golob.
Eddie enlisted in the U.S Navy the same day he graduated, shortly after D-Day in June of 1944, serving his country in the U.S. Navy. During that time, he was stationed with the Merchant Marine, sailing around the world twice during wartime.
After his honorable discharge, Eddie married the former Joan Jelovnik at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Surviving Eddie is his loving wife of 61 years, Joan; one sister, Marianne Barbuch; a sister-in-law, Jean Golob; a brother-in-law, Richard Jelovnik.
Interment with military honors will be accorded at Greendale Cemetery.
