Charlotte Marie Poulson Rathbone, 70, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at her daughter?s residence.
She was a native of Salem County, N.J., where she lived all of her life and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Troupe Poulson. She was also preceded in death by husband, Joseph Oliver Rathbone Sr., who died in 1996; a son, Joseph Oliver Rathbone Jr. and three brothers and three sisters. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Marie Ward and her husband, Ricky of Maggie Valley, Linda Holbrooks and her husband, Tim, of Franklin and Lori Ann Beatty and her husband, Frank, of Waynesville; a son, David Wayne Rathbone and his wife, Melissa, of Canton; a sister, Jeanette Cagle of Bulls Gap, Tenn.; a brother, Carl Poulson of Sneedville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Ricky, Jethro, Timothy, Adam, Tasha, Jimmy, Chris, Amber, David, Josh, Sheena and Justin; nine great-grandchildren, Haley, Alex, Aubrey, Faith, Josiah, Brayden, Caleb, Austin and Chase.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Brother Nathaniel Ayers and the Rev. Paul Carden officiating. Burial will follow at Fulbright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Marshall Cagle and Nick Dirienzo.
