Ruth Avlena Hathcock, age 74, of Oneonta, died April 3, 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Trumon Hathcock, son, George Edward Hathcock, daughter, Betty Price, and grandson, Derrick Standridge. She was also a member of St. Mt. Church of God. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Demaris Gibbs of Oneonta, Mrs. Avon Adamson of Homewood, Mrs. Ruby G. (Joe) Standridge of Nectar, Mrs. Tammy (Timmy) Moore of Highland Lake; stepdaughter, Mrs. Irene (Johnny) Clowdus of Oneonta; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held April 5, 1997, 2:00 p.m. at St. Mt. Church of God with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bob Bryant officiating. Lemley Chapel directing.
