Anna Mae Lane was born May 28, 1921 in Lewellen, Nebraska, the daughter of George and Ethel (Brunt) West. She attended the country schools.
She married Forrest Bennett, November 6, 1945 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. They lived in Lewellen most of their married lives. He passed away in 1969.
She then married Glendon L. Lane March 25, 1973 in Oshkosh, where they made their home.
She worked several places and at several jobs during her lifetime, including Midwec, Marshalltown, the hospitals and nursing home in Lewellen and Oshkosh.
She retired in the late 1970's due to failing health.
She passed away May 18, 1988 at the Garden County Hospital at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 20 days.
Graveside services were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 1988 at the Ash Hollow Cemetery with Rev. Howard Ware officiating.
Holechek Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband, "Casey" Lane of Oshkosh; her mother, Ethel West of Lewellen; a brother, Arnold West of Lander, WY; and two sisters, Opal Orr of Torrington, WY, and Ruth Reeves of Lewellen.
