RUTH WILLIAMS
Mrs. Ruth Williams, 93, of 10 Sycamore Ter., Mahopac, died Jan. 27 in Phelps Memorial Hospital, North Tarrytown. She was the widow of Alexander Williams.
A Mahopac resident since 1927, she was retired as a postal clerk for the Bayside, L.I., Post Office. She was born Jan. 22, 1889, in Long Island, daughter of the late Jules and Anna Davis Anderson. She was a charter member of the Lake Mahopac Garden Club and a life member of the Easter Star in Bayside.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marion Henscel, and a niece, Dorothy Henscel, both of Little Neck, L.I.; a nephew, George W. Henscel of Levittown, L.I.; a graddaughter Mrs. Sandra Alix Williams of Bangor, Maine, and a great-grandson, Christopher Foran of Bangor, Me.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cargain-Barber Funeral Home, 10 Fowler Ave., Carmel. The Rev. H. Henry Maertens, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel.
