CHESAPEAKE - Eugene Richard Ward Sr. departed this life on Nov. 27, 2006, after a long illness.
He leaves behind his wife, Carol Warren Ward and six children, Eugene Richard Ward Jr. and wife Deborah, Susan Ward Fleming and husband Danny, Donald Jack Ward II and wife Mary, Sandra Ward Elliott and husband Bud, Timothy Michael Ward and wife Betty and Christopher Richard Ward and wife Janelle. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Ward Watts and survived by her husband, Tommy Watts. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jayme Elliott, DJ III, Adam, Andrew and Christa Ward, Tracey Hodges and Chris Turner. To know Pop was to love him and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a memorial service Thursday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God, at 4925 Providence Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be at a later date. You are invited to join the family following the service in the church social hall. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
