In 1943, Floyd Brown was driving an old truck hauling logs. Raymond had gone to work with his dad that day as a lot of young Dallas Co boys have done for generations. Raymond was leaning on the door of the truck that had a broken door latch and only had a horse shoe rigged to hold the door closed. The truck tires were spinning in the mud and young Raymond was enjoying watching the mud fly off of the tires. The truck door suddenly came open and he was run over by the truck. He was a few months shy of 7yrs old.
