After an extended illness of several weeks, Mrs. Eva F. Boon died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington, at the age of 76.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Clifford F. Polson, Sr., from the Pacey Memorial Home on Saturday afternoon, April 21, at 2 p.m. Those who served as pallbearers were George E. Clark, Albert Hesselberth, Fredrick Hesselberth, Gerald Knoblauch, Donald Knoblauch and Paul Fandel. Interment was in Buckingham Cemetery.
Visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
Mrs. Boon was born Jan. 3, 1886 to George Marshall and Mary McFarlin Clark at their farm home near Lowpoint. She attended the Lowpoint and Washburn schools and Bradley University. On April 20, 1910, she was united in marriage to Dr. Charles Lester Boon in Peoria. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951. With the exception of the first five years of their marriage, Dr. and Mrs. Boon resided in this area.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are: one daughter, Miss Alice Boon, Wheaton; two sons, Charles Franklin, Lowpoint, and Dr. Loren McClellan, Danvers; one brother, George T. Clark, Lowpoint; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who will miss her loving and sunny smile.
