ARBUTUS ''ABBY'' ETTA BRYANT, 62, died March 19, 2001, at Alaska Native Medical Center. A funeral was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel downtown. Burial was at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery in spring.
Ms. Bryant was born May 23, 1938, in Naknek. From 1965 to 1978, she lived in Jacksboro, Texas, where she raised her children. Ms. Bryant was a homemaker and enjoyed beading, painting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Ann Davis, brother, Billy Bryant, and sister, Evelyn Foster, all of Anchorage; daughters, Diana Womack and Lisa Heck of Anchorage and Julie Eakin of White Settlement, Texas; son, Billy E. Womack of Anchorage; and grandchildren, Rodney and Eric Eakin of White Settlement, Joshua, Jeremy and Jessica Womack, Ronald and Robert Hoffman, and Guy and Mason Heck, all of Anchorage; and her former husband, Billy O. Womack of Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Bryant; and daughter, Laura Beth Womack. Memorial donations in her name may be directed to Mother Lawrence, 833 N. Hoyt St., Anchorage 99508.
