Levergne A. Blue was the owner of the Blue Lodge in Live Oak, Florida. Known to locals as "Blue's Lodge," the central lodge and surrounding brick cabin-style rooms, served as a stopping point for tourists travelling through Florida in the 1940s through the 1960s.

Mr. Blue's Lodge also serviced the meeting needs of local politicians, including Dr. C. Leroy Adams who was elected to the Florida State Senate in 1952, but was murdered by Ruby McCollum before he could serve his term of office. Mr. Blue gave his account of the story to William B. Huie, who published Ruby McCollum: Woman in the Suwannee Jail in 1956, reciting Blue's story.

Mr. Blue lost his son of the same name in an auto accident on April 24, 1949. His son as well as other members of his family now rest in the family plot.
