He was born in Chilton, son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Nett) Nennig.
In 1953, he married the former Gladys Lehrke at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Osman.
Harold loved spending time with his family and he also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gladys; His children, Diana Dionne, Ronald Nennig, Rodney (Nancy) Nennig, Debra (Mark) Stock, Darsi (Gary) Grapentine, Denise Hoffmann, and Darlynn (Randy) Wigand; 22 grandchildren, Troy, Todd, Rhonda, Nicholas, Tiffany, Tonia, Tabatha, Jason, Ashley, Leah, Chelsea, Jonathon, Stacy (Josh), Nicole, Cassie, Mason, Kayla, McKenzie, Natasha, Krista, Tanner, and Spencer; 2 great-grandchildren, Blake and Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by a son; Rick Nennig, a son-in-law; John Hoffmann.
Burial will take place in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Kiel.
