Mr. Klunk far many years served as sexton of St. Mary's Catholic Church, McSherrystown.
Surviving are nine children, Joseph C., Misses Anne and Catherine Klunk, all at home; Charles Klunk, York; Mrs. Mary Funk and David Klunk, Linden Avenue and Augustus and Martin Klunk, all of Hanover; 40 grandchildren, one brother, Joseph F. Klunk, McSherrystown and a sister, Mrs. A. W. Eckenrode, Emmitsburg. The deceased was a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary's church, McSherrystown, and of St. Joseph's Beneficial society of Hanover.
The funeral was held at his late home at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, followed by a high requiem mass at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's chuech. The rectoe, Rt. Rev. Msge. Patrick F. McGee, was the celebrant. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery, McSherrystown.
