Last Sunday morning October 29th, S.V. Bowles passed away at his home, after an illness of several weeks. He was an early settler of Star valley, having lived here 40 years.
Mr Bowles was born February 21 1866 in Taxwell, Va. the son of Edward and Margaret Bowles. On December 4, 1907 he was united in marriage to Sarah Pearl Perry of Norman, Okla.
To this union were born seven children, Emmett, Margaret, Vincent, Carwin, Lula, Catherine and Edward all of whom survive him. They were all at his bedside when he passed away.
The funeral services were held at the Osmond church house Tuesday October 31 at 1:00 o'clock.

Those attending the funeral from out of the valley were: Mrs. Katie Bowles, Mr and Mrs. Zan Marshall, Mr and Mrs Arville Bowles of Preston, Idaho. Mr and Mrs. Herbert Bowles and Horance Bowles of Lewiston, Utah. Mr and Mrs Floyd White of Lewiston, Utah. Mrs Margaret Jamison, Axel and Thomas Jamison of Evanston, Wyo. Mrs. Rebbecca Birches and Goldie Birches of Victor Idaho, Mrs. Tennie Bowles and Sarah Bowles and Arthur Bowles of Driggs, Idaho. Mr and Mrs. r.G. Gowles, Murl Bowles, Mr and Mrs Russel Sullivan of Emmett, Idaho. R.G. Bowles is a brother of Sam and lived in Star Valley many years and will be remembered by his old friends.
