Hallie L. Craig, 96, formerly of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Oak Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Speaks. Graveside services 12:30 p.m. Friday, in Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or the charity of your choice. Hallie was born June 27, 1912 in Chilhowee, MO to James and Ida (Fosnow) Wallace. She was joined in marriage to Lee A. Craig on January 19, 1936. Together they owned and operated Lee's Barber and Beauty Shop until retirement. She was a faithful member of Glenwood Park Methodist Church. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Peal (Don) Bird, C.J. (Jo) Craig, Dorothea Riley, Gary Wayne (Charlene) Craig, Larry Craig, Jewell (Edgar) McFerrin, Vera (George) Brown, Gerald (Carolyn) Wallace; and by a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Hallie was preceded in death by her husband Lee Craig in 1989; and by two brothers and one sister.
