Barney Lee Achimon, 71 of Hendrix, died Saturday morning in Sherman. He had been ill for about 2 months.
Services have been set for 2:30 p.m. Monday at Yarnaby Assembly of God Church with the Rev. A.H. Barton officiating. Burial will be at Achille, under the direction of Holmes Funeral Home.
Achimon, a farmer in Bryan Co. since 1943,was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides the widow, survivors include six sons, Mansil Achimon, Kingfisher; Manning Achimon, Madill;Cecil Achimon,Vernon TX; Rayford Achimon, Kemp; and Delmar and Ralph Achimon of Hendrix. Five daughters; Mrs.Earl Phelps,Winthrop Ark; Mrs Opal Forehand, Van Alstyne; Mrs R.E. Henson,Whitesboro TX;and Mrs Elmo Mc Williams and Wilma Achimon of Hendrix; one brother Jeff Achimon,Daville Ala; two sisters Mrs John Guthrie and Mrs Carson Golden, both of Tallassee Ala; and 15 grandchildren.
