He was born April 17, 1884, in Upper Strasburg, son of the late Levi and Margaret Gabler Franklin. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Jr. OUAM. His wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davis Franklin, died July 27, 1967. For more than 40 years, he was employed as a machinist at Frick Co., Waynesboro, retiring about 13 years ago.
A number of nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn E. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service Friday.
