She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Salinas, Calif., daughter of William and Mary Miller Beachy. She attended school in the McMinnville and Sheridan area.
She and Lloyd Shenk were married June 19, 1932, in Sheridan. They moved to the Tillamook County area in 1947 and lived there until 1954, when they moved to Pacific City. In 1964, the Shenks moved to McMinnville.
Mrs. Shenk was a longtime member of the Mennonite Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978. She also was preceded in death by her son, Ernie, in 1985; four brothers, Eli, Harold, Lewis and Ezra Beachy; and two sisters, Esther Green and Sadie Rideway.
