Evelyn Coleman Hattaway, 89, died Monday morning, March 14, 2005, at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. The Candler County native had lived in Collins until moving to Reidsville in 1955. She was a retired bookkeeper, and a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo "Red" Hattaway.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Annette and Ray Blount of Vidalia and Felishia Finch of Claxton; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Pat Hattaway of Reidsville; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Reidsville Baptist Church. Interment was in Reidsville City Cemetery.
