Well Known Woman Follows Husband in Death - Died, at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon, July 31, 1914, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul R. Higginbotham of Chicago, after a long illness, Mrs. Maria F. Ridgely, wife of the late Redick M. Ridgely of 1201 South Sixth street.
Decedent had been failing in health since the death of her husband about two months ago, but on rallying a little the latter part of last week, left her home in this city in company with her son, Harry Devereaux, to recuperate at her daughter's residence in Chicago. She had been in Chicago less than a day when a decided change for the worse was noticed, and for the last few days she had lain in a semi conscious condition.
