A graveside service for Joe Damico Jr., of Trenton, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery in Brookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Damico, 96, died March 27, 2007, at Ayers Health Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. He was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 16, 1911, to Joseph Damico Sr. and Salva Carnaggio Damico.

He was a store owner. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mazie Damico; and his brother, Charles Damico.

Survivors are his son, Angelo Damico, of Richland; his daughter, Linda Damico, of Gainesville, Fla.; his brothers, Vincent Damico, Johnny Damico, Nick Damico and Sam Damico, all of Brookhaven; and one grandchild.
