A native of Norfolk County, he was a son of Albert T. Alexander Sr. and Mrs. Fidella Holley Alexander.
He attended Norfolk County public schools and graduated from Crestwood High School. He attended Norfolk State College, Arizona State University, and St. Paul College. He was a staff sergeant in the Air Force.
He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
Besides his parents, surviving are a brother, the Rev. E. Curtis Alexander of New York; and four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Robinson of Norfolk, Mrs. Dorothy Lamb of Portsmouth, Mrs. Ruth Lewis of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Barbara Hawkins of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Bells Mill Road, by the Rev. W. H. Sawyer. Burial with military honors will be in the Corprew family cemetery. Chatman Funeral Home, South Norfolk, has charge.
