She was born in Bohannon, Oklahoma, to Harlon C. and Pearl Clifft Hull. She began her education at Bohannon schools and later graduated from Stuart High School. She married William E. (W.E.) Blevins Jr. on Oct. 23, 1959, in Arpelar. She worked at Seamprufe while raising her children and later worked in the post office at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. She later moved to Oklahoma City where she continued working for the Department of Corrections. She later returned to McAlester, where she returned to the Oklahoma State Penitentiary working in the law library. After 25 years of service, she retired as the law library supervisor on May 1, 2002. She was a member of the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano and singing gospel music. She also helped with the Stuart School Alumni Association and was on the Arpelar Cemetery Board for a number of years. She enjoyed her family and researching her family history. She was a resident of McAlester and passed away at the age of 71 at McAlester Regional Health Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. C. and Pearl Hull, and her husband, W.E. Blevins Jr. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick, Terry Trivitt and the Rev. Fred Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Arpelar Cemetery, Arpelar, under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
