He was born December 28, 1925 to the late John P. and Thelma M. (Hopkins) Albert. Gordon graduated from Greenwich High School in 1943 and was a lifelong resident of Greenwich.
He hauled livestock with his father until 1968. Gordon farmed and worked at Akron Standard Mold for many years. He served during World War II in the Navy Air Corp as a pilot. Gordon was a member of the Greenwich American Legion Mil Bow Mar Post 280 serving as treasurer for 20 years.
Gordon will be lovingly remembered by wife of 58 years, Ella Jane (Echelbarger) Alberts; children, Renee C. (Paul) Hicks, Greenwich, Bruce A. (Deanna) Albert, Greenwich and Lori A. Seeley, Columbus; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Emily Gumbert.
Friends may call Sunday, November 23rd, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.
