Clinton MO, Jan 7, 1893 -- James D Acock died in Leesville township, January 2 after a lingering illness of many years. He was born in Logan County, Kentucky, January 27, 1811, coming here in 1838. Elder Biggs conducted the funeral and burial was in Tebo cemetery.

[I normally remove the b&d from this style published obit...because the year of death doesn't match the year on the stone I haven't removed it from this one. The stone clearly states 18_2, it's hard to tell if the missing number is an eight or a nine. Too bad we don't have the 1890 Census.]
