Memorial Rites For Mrs. Adam To Be On Friday
KOUTS, Dec. 1--Mrs. Adeline Ottilie Adam, 67, resident of Kouts for the past 30 years, died Wednesday morning in Porter Memorial hospital after an illness of five weeks.
The decedent was born April 9, 1882, in North Judson, in which town she was married to Frederick W. Adam in 1908. Her husband died in 1939. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hoppe.
She moved to the Kouts vicinity 30 years ago, coming from Medaryville. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church, Kouts, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Surviving are a son, Raymond, of RFD 3, Valparaiso; a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Haas of Glenview, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Selmer of Medaryville and Mrs. Molly Veghlin of Chicago; a brother, Henry Hoppe of North Judson.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Kouts. Officiating will be the Rev. Walter Schwane, and burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery, west of Kouts. Friends may call at the Kosanke Brothers funeral home, Kouts, after 7 o'clock this evening.
