Sarah Hotchkiss was the daughter of David Hotchkiss and Abigail Douglass.

She married Justus Beecher the son of Isaac Beecher and Dorcas Thomas.

They had fourteen children, including twins who died in infancy: Esther 13 Jun 1786, David 30 Jan 1788, Chloe 03 Jan 1790, Laura 28 Dec 1791, Polly 07 Aug 1793, Lydia 06 Dec 1794, Schuyler 16 Dec 1797, Sarah 13 Jul 1799, Abigail 03 Oct 1801, Julia 17 Sep 1803, Twins 05 Nov 1805, Harriet 23 Apr 1807 and Isaac 16 Aug 1809.

Sarah and her husband (Justus Beecher) came to Windsor, NY after 1800, settling on a farm on Kent Street. His name is on the 1813 tax list of Windsor, 'real property $440.00, personal property $38.00, total $478.00, tax assesed was 48 cents. He was in the 1820 census and son, Schuyler Beecher was in the 1825, 1830 and 1835 census in Windsor, NY.
