British diplomat. Husband of the Russian ballerina Tamara Karsavina. He was the son of Sir Hervey Juckes Lloyd Bruce, 4th Bt. and Ellen Maud Ricardo. He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1907, a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917. He was First Secretary of the Diplomatic Service. He was British Delegate to the Inter-Allied Commission on Bulgaria in 1925. He was Adviser to the National Bank of Hungary between 1931 and 1939. He wrote the books Silken Dalliances and Thirty Dozen Moons.
