Parents: Francis Jackson and Mary C. Miller Jackson (died 1850 in McDonough Co., Illinois). Francis married w#2-Sarah Campbell and they had 1 son. Francis was buried in the Dibble-Jackson Cemetery but his headstone was moved to the Rock Creek Cemetery in Clackamas Co., Oregon; w-Tanzy Ann Wagner Jackson (Ann Parker per obit); 8 children: Mary, Susan "Susie", John Wagner, Ellen, Louisa/Louise "Lou", Abner Nealand "Neal", Joseph B., and Columbia Jackson.

"Thomas P. Jackson, who died at the home of his son, Joseph B. Jackson, near Long Creek, Grant county, Oregon, March 21, 1905, was born in Pennsylvania, December 24, 1814, and was 90 years, 2 months and 27 days of age at the time of his death. He moved to Springfield, ILL, at the age of 19 years, in company with his parents, and was married there to Miss Ann Parker, in 1842, and three years later crossed the plains to Oregon, settling in what is now known as Molalla Prairie, Clackamas county; where he continued to reside until 1868, when he moved to Eastern Oregon, locating three miles south of Monument, Grant county. Ten years later he disposed of his property interests in Eastern Oregon and returned to the Willamette valley, where he has since resided. He was the father of eight children, four sons and four daughters, of whom John Jackson, Neal Jackson, Joseph B. Jackson and Mrs. Lou Beeson, survive him. He was laid to rest by the side of his deceased daughter, Mrs. Susie Meal (Mael), in the Long Creek cemetery at noon, Thursday, March 23."
