Kenneth C, 71yrs of Stamford, CT, Saratoga Springs, NY, and Hallandale Beach, FL, suddenly after a courageous battle with cancer, with his wife at his side. Born in Boston, Mass, he was the son of the late Laurence and Elizabeth Avanzino. He grew up on Long Island where he graduated Roslyn High School. In 1958, he graduated from Colgate University where he was a member of Sigma NU fraternity. After working for RCA in Computer sales, he left to attend Columbia University School of Business, where he earned his MBA degree in 1961. He then went on to Reynolds and Company, a brokerage firm in the early 70's he and a partner formed Comprehensive Resources, an oil and gas exploration firm. He and his firm were early leaders and innovators in the development of oil and gas drilling programs from the 70's through the 90's. He was an enthusiastic horse owner and breeder whose stable completed in major meets, primarily in New York and Florida. Ken is survived by his wife Moira; sons Scott of Louisiana, James of New Hampshire and daughter Carolyn Mustin of Mass; four grandchildren; his sister Adele DeMartini, brothers Stephen and Bruce.
