Henry Nathaniel Anderson
Born 1885 in Sweden - died August 1910
Last Thursday night, Henry Nathanial Anderson died at the home of C. R. Norman in Stromsburg, NE at the age of 25 years, 5 months and 22 days. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1885 and came to the United States in 1897, where he first worked on a farm near Polk, NE. He worked his way through college and by his own unaided effort gained a good education. Later he took a position in Lincoln as bookkeeper and stenographer in a lumber company's office. In 1908 he married Margaret Norman and they made their home in Lincoln.
In January 1910 he took sick with consumption and started for Arizona, however his health continued to fail him and later in the spring he came back to Stromsburg and here at the home of his wife's parents he lingered while tender hands untiringly and willingly administrated all possible care until death called him away and relieved him from his suffering.
He leaves a deeply sorrow stricken wife and baby, a father, one brother and two sisters in Sweden and a host of friends and relatives here. The funeral took place last Sunday at the Swedish Mission church which was filled with sympathizing friends and neighbors. The pastor of that church, Rev. G. D. Hall conducted the services. Interment was in the Stromsburg cemetery.
The deceased was an exemplary young man of good character and habits. He was kind and a loving husband and the community sympathizes with the sorrow stricken wife and the little girl who is left fatherless.
