James Franklin Beeks, 71, of 1250 Main St., Lagro, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 1996 at Millers Merry Manor East of Wabash.
He was born Aug. 28, 1925 at Lagro, IN to Levi E. and Helen C. (Baker) Beeks.
Mr. Beeks was a lifetime resident of Lagro. He retired from the Celotex Corporation in Lagro after 50 years where he was a cupola operator. He married Ellen E. Hendrix Jan. 21, 1956 in Hartford City, IN; she preceded him in death Dec. 18, 1975. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include three sisters - Reba Stouffer of Lagro, Mary Mooney and Lois Dye, both of Fort Myers, FL. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996 at Main Street Chapel Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, which was in charge of arrangements, with Pastor Richard Long officiating. #Burial was in the Lagro Cemetery.
