Ples Morgan Cooley III, passed away June 15, 2000. He was born February 8, 1948, in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Ples Morgan Cooley II and Betty Elizabeth Oravetz Cooley. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran receiving two Purple Hearts and the Combat Infantryman Badge.

A Baptist by faith in Jesus Christ and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 124. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, as Will Rogers said, "He never met a man he didn't like."

Ples is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann of the home; two daughters, Shauntel Daun Cooley of Toko Asahikawa, Japan and Shanda and husband, Kelly Chastain; two sons, Chip Cooley and Chance Peck; twin grandsons, Riley and Reagen Chastain; one granddaughter, Claire Ann Chastain; his mother, Betty; four brothers, Henry, Paul, Hoss and Skip Cooley; four sisters, Mary Simpson, Betty Jean Cummins, Ellie Oliver and Lela French; twenty nephews and nieces and many friends.

Ples was preceded in death by his father, wife, Robin Kay Cooley and a daughter, Brandy Rae Cooley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at the First Baptist Church of Harrah with interment to follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Barnes & Johnson F.H. 1820 S. Douglas Blvd. Midwest City 733-2991.
