Jesse James Stewart Carter Sr., 59, of Mount Dora died Monday (May 13, 2002) in Eustis. Born in Forest Home, Ala., he moved to Lake County in 1960. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, Mount Dora. Survivors include his four sons, Jesse Stewart of Orlando, Gerald Stewart of Vacaville, Calif., Franklin Jones of Mount Dora, and Gregory Jones of Bronx, N.Y., three daughters, Janice Hambrick of Leesburg, Faye Powell of Mount Dora, and Phyllis Taylor of Utica, N.Y.; mother, Lizzie Jones of Barberton, Ohio; and two brothers, Leonard Stewart and Henry Stewart, both of Barberton, Ohio. Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, Apopka.Funeral services for Mr. Carter will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday (May 18, 2002) at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, Mount Dora, with the Rev. Michael D. Warren officiating. Burial will be held in Edgewood Cemetery, Mount Dora, under the direction of Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, 232 West Michael Gladden Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703. Public visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, Mount Dora, and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time.JJSC
