Ollie Mae Walker, 89, of Baytown was born May 11, 1919 in Tarkington Prairie and passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008 in a local nursing home. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Grandmother's Club. She loved to sew and work in her rose garden. She enjoyed sports and especially liked the Astros, Texas A & M Aggies and Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Walker Sr. and brother, R. M. Carter. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Woodrow Wilson Walker Jr. and wife, Betty, Lynn Walker and wife, Bonnie and Glynn Walker, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Craig Walker and wife, Tracy, Beth Moore and husband, Marvin, Kyle Walker and Julie Walker Cole and husband, Mikel; and great grandchildren, Nolan, Tyler and Hayden Walker, Max and Aly Moore and Aurora Violet Cole.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dayton Moses, Joe Brooks Thompson, Neal Thompson, Kyle Walker, Marvin Moore, Craig Walker and Mikel Cole.

Her family would like to express their thanks to the staffs of St. James House of Baytown and Odyssey HealthCare for the care and kindness shown to Ollie Mae.
