Larry was killed in a bicycle-car collision in St Augustine.

He was the son of Benjamin Charles Burke and Laura Alice Lines Burke.

He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of florida in 1969 and a Master's degree from the University of North Florida in 1981.

Larry served as an art teacher and assistant principal for more than 30 years.
