Ronald E. Leeth, 63, of Chillicothe, went to heaven at 2:20 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008. He was born December 5, 1944, in Chillicothe, to the late Ivan E. and Rose Eileen Armstrong Leeth. On February 14, 1984, he married the former Cynthia J. Hertenstein who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Paul Bryan (Dawna) Leeth, of Florida and Craig Bryan Leeth, at home; grandchildren, Katherine Leeth and Brieawna Leeth; mother-in-law, Georgia Hertenstein, of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Chichi Hertenstein, Cheryl Kelly, Canita Stewart, Conda Hertenstein, Carrie Burns, Patsy Hertenstein; a brother-in-law, Larry Hertenstein; friends whom he considered his brothers, Dick Moran, Denver Moore, Ed Hettinger, Buzzy West, Bill Stansberry and Leroy Merriman, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey L. Leeth; father-in-law, Jake Hertenstein; and a brother-in-law, Craig Hertenstein.
Ronald retired from RCA and had worked at Sparkle Cleaners, the Ross County Board of Elections and ODOT. He was a member of Logan Elm Masonic Lodge 624, Aladdin Temple Shrine, the Ross County Shrine Club, Scottish Rite and Eastern Star Chapter 411. He was also a member in the Republican Club and active in the Republican Party for 28 plus years and was a Kentucky Colonel. Ronald loved having coffee with his friends, he loved the Masons and he loved working the Republican Fish Fries and booth at the Ross County Fair. He touched many lives with friendship, kindness and love. God blessed him well with his good sons, good wife and many many good friends. He will be greatly missed.
