Born April 25, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of the late George and Mary Bell Woolford, she was a licensed practical nurse for 21 years at Missouri Delta Medical Center and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On Sept. 23, 1945, she married Clennis Ables who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1966.
Survivors include: one son, Neil Ables; three daughters, Andrea Lim, Cindy Ables and Leslie Brown; two brothers, William J. Woolford, and Jerry Woolford; one sister, Frances Gierer; and five grandchildren.
One brother, Larry Woolford, also preceded her in death.
Visitation was held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services were scheduled. The Rev. Tom Geers, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiated.
Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
