surviving ... widow, Mrs Sarah Lemasters Bateman; children: Frank, Charles, Albert, Joseph & Roland Bateman, Mrs Iona Decker, Mrs Pearl Monahan, Mrs Lora Bruno, Mrs Flossie Bruno and Mrs Sophia Hall.

Remains,, to Washington IN, his birth place, ... burial.

BATEMAN SERVICE SET FOR FRIDAY
The body of Joshua Bateman, who died at East St Louis, IL, TUES evening, arrived here at 1:20 this afternoon and was taken to the home of his son, Charles Bateman, 1301 W Walnut St. Funeral services will be held at the Wesley Mem M E Church at 2:30 Fri afternoon with....Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr Bateman was a brother of George and William Bateman of Plainville, and John Bateman of Prentice, IL.
