Obituary - Emma C. Allen, 82, of Monmouth, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 1992, in Pinewood Health Care Center.

She was born November 26, 1909 in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry L. and Mabel Hertzler Reed. She was reared and educated in Warren County.

She married Ralph Hoy, who preceded her in death. She later married Ed Johnson. She then married the late J. Cason Allen in Galesburg during 1968.

She was a member of the Heritage United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Bertha Rule of Monmouth, and Charlotte Olson of Moline; one brother, Albert Hertzler (should read Albert Kenneth Reed, not Hertzler) of Galesburg; five nieces and two nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, one brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday at Hoover Memorial Chapel, Monmouth, with Rev. Dwight Netzer officiating. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Heritage United Presbyterian Church.
